Private Cabins Near Denali National Park
Healy Heights Family Cabins has been serving Denali's guests since 1990. We are "off the beaten path" on a paved road, situated on 12 wooded acres atop a scenic ridge with 360-degree mountain views. We overlook the Alaska Range with its taiga and tundra valleys. We offer nature, beautiful views and six modern, clean, deluxe cabins; each has its own unique character and architectural style and is tastefully decorated. We are a short 15-minute drive from the Denali National Park entrance, all other area activities, and only half a mile from the community of Healy. This is a private, peaceful and relaxed setting for the entire family, away from the concessions, tour groups and buses. No smoking in the cabins, and no pets. Licensed by the state of Alaska and annually inspected by AAA.
Each cabin has a private bath with hot and cold running water, heat and electricity. All towels, linens and bedding are provided. The Chalet and Guest House have Dish Network Satellite TV and a telephone; for the remaining cabins, a private guest phone line is available at the office. The cabins are carpeted, tastefully decorated with Alaskan artwork and taxidermy, and furnished, most with log furniture. There is a 12-cup coffee maker, toaster, microwave oven and refrigerator in each along with complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa. The Chalet and Guest House have kitchens with cookware and utensils provided for meal preparation, and all cabins have dishes and silverware. Each cabin has a propane gas barbecue grill on the deck outside. For your convenience, we keep a supply of paper towels, napkins, plastic wrap, foil wrap, salt, pepper, Pam spray and sandwich bags in each cabin.
Advance reservations and a minimum 2-night stay are recommended. Denali National Park is one of the most visited areas in Alaska from May through September. Many dates throughout the summer season are filled months in advance at all lodgings.
We do not offer a shuttle service; your own rental car is recommended. Off-road parking is provided. Healy has three restaurants, a general/liquor store, gas, deli, post office, library, churches and laundry.
