Many activities are available to you, including various ranger talks and guided hikes, Northern Lights theater -- the Aurora Borealis, sled dog demonstrations and a variety of gift shops all within Denali National Park entrance are provided by Park Service rangers. White water rafting, scenic river floats, kayaking on rivers or lakes (lessons available), flightseeing -- fixed wing or helicopter tours -- and hiking trails from easy to difficult. Horseback tours, bicycle rental (you can take your bike on a shuttle bus into the park and then ride out on your own), backcountry ATV adventures, 4-wheel drive tours into the wild, covered wagon rides, golfing, fly fishing for Arctic Grayling or Rainbow Trout. Abundant photo opportunities, wildlife and wildflower viewing -- just a short distance from your doorstep. Please dress warmly and wear comfortable and sturdy walking shoes. It is best to dress in layers so you can add or remove clothing as needed: even in mid-summer, we can have overnight lows near freezing, and a daytime temperature in the 80s Fahrenheit with the sunĀ  overhead. In mid-June, the sun sets at approximately 12:30 a.m., and rises at approximately 3:30 a.m.; in mid-July the sun sets at midnight and rises at 4:15 a.m., and in mid-August, the sun sets at about 10:00 p.m. and rises at 5:45 a.m.
